Fire sprinkler & fire protection contractor insurance

Fire protection contractors face two kinds of claims: the system that discharged when it shouldn't have, and the system that didn't operate when it should have. Inspection firms add a third: the deficiency someone says you missed.

Our approach

We build fire sprinkler contractor insurance and fire protection contractor insurance that covers installation, inspection, testing and service work, including the professional liability that many standard policies leave out.

Exposures we plan around

  • Claims that a system failed to operate during a fire

Frequently asked questions

Does general liability cover a failed inspection claim?

Not always. Many GL policies exclude professional services, and inspection is often treated as one. Inspection errors and omissions coverage fills that gap.

What if a sprinkler head discharges during service?

Water damage to the building and its contents is generally a general liability claim. Confirm your policy does not exclude water damage or the property you are working on.

Is coverage different for inspection-only firms versus installers?

Yes. Inspection and service firms carry more professional exposure, while installers carry more completed operations exposure. We price and structure the program around your actual mix of revenue.
